HR expertise for organisations led by underrepresented groups

Accent HR provides HR expertise to organisations that give cultural underrepresented groups a voice, helping them to express their value in Australian society. Typically these organisations know the basic legal requirements to have employees but their HR practices do not fully reflect the culture(s) they support. This is where I come in.

Outcomes will generally include:

  • Culturally adapted policies, processes and documentation.

  • Organisation design being optimised to facilitate work across cultures, creating opportunities for underrepresented groups and unlocking top performance.

  • Culturally appropriate behaviours that support your mission and purpose being identified and embedded across the organization.

Multicultural organisations

Australia is a very multicultural country, but most employment practices rely on anglo-saxon standards. Accent HR specialises in weaving cultural adaptation into all your HR practices. There are two main areas I help on:

Employment practices that support all cultures

Accent HR partners with organisations to create and review their employment strategies from a cultural diversity perspective. To be clear, if you want someone to help you organise a diversity day where everyone brings food from their culture, Accent HR is not right partner to help you. On the other hand, if you genuinely have an appetite to make your workplace culturally inclusive in all its aspects of employment, Accent HR can help.

A few examples of key outcomes Accent HR can develop include:

  • Audits and initiatives being designed that are impactful for your culturally diverse workforce

  • Impact-driven cultural diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) strategies.

  • Review of employment practices to make them inclusive for all cultures.
